Nothing can beat the smell of freshly baked bread in the mornings and given you can knock this wonderful loaf up and eat it in less than an hour means it's pretty sepcial
This became a staple in our household during the lockdown as it's so simple to make and requires little to no effort
Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix together before making a well and adding the butter milk. Bring this together to make a dough and then tip it out on a lightly floured surface and knead for about a minute.
Roll into a ball shape and then squash it down a but, make a cross over the top and place into a baking sheet.
Warm the oven to 200 degrees and place the dough into the oven and leave for 30 minutes.
Remove when done and cool on a rack.
